Application for travel grants is now closed.
FENS and IBRO/PERC will jointly provide travel grants for students and young investigators to attend the FENS Forum 2018.
Application for the FENS – IBRO/PERC Travel Grants is open from the time of registration for the FENS Forum 2018 on 1 December 2017 until 13 February 2018, (00:00 hours HAST).
The application form for the FENS – IBRO/PERC Travel Grants is available in the registration portal once you have registered for the FENS Forum 2018.
Travel Grants (€ 750 each) are offered to the participants of the FENS Forum 2018. Online applications can be submitted during the time of registration for the FENS Forum 2018.
Please note that you can also apply for the Young Investigator Training Programme (YITP is a summer research stay programme in German laboratories. Please see YITP page for more information on this programme).
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR TRAVEL GRANTS
- You are a PhD student or a postdoctoral fellow
- You have registered for the FENS Forum 2018
- You have submitted an abstract as 1st author
- You have at least one PubMed registered publication
- You have to receive support from your current supervisor/PI
You are not eligible to apply if:
- You are residing in the country where the Forum is taking place (Germany)
- You have received a FENS IBRO/PERC travel grant for the previous Forum 2016 (list of recipients)

As soon as you have completed your application, an e-mail will be sent to the person that you designated to support your candidature (supervisor or department head). This person will submit his/her support for candidature electronically (no letter of recommendation required). Please make sure that you have received his/her consent beforehand, that the e-mail address is correct and that you apply early enough to leave time for this person to submit his/her agreement electronically before the deadline midnight (HAST) on 15 February 2018.

NOTE THAT THE DEADLINE FOR TRAVEL GRANT APPLICATIONS WILL BE STRICTLY APPLIED AND WILL NOT BE POSTPONED. Applicants will be informed about their successful application in early April 2018.
The FENS – IBRO/PERC Travel Grants will be disbursed at the FENS booth during the FENS Forum 2018.
Travel grants recipients will be requested to present their ID.
